Hand-built walk-ins, primary suite wardrobes, and built-in storage designed for Rio Vista Isles waterfront homes — crafted in our Sunrise workshop by the same family team that's served Fort Lauderdale homeowners since 1976.
Rio Vista — "River View" in Spanish — has been one of Fort Lauderdale's most distinguished waterfront communities since the 1920s. Whether your home is a Mediterranean estate along the New River, a modern build on one of the ten isles with deep-water dockage, or a historic property near Las Olas, your home wasn't built for off-the-shelf storage.
That's why Rio Vista Isles homeowners come to M&M Renovations. For nearly 50 years, we've built custom closets, dressing rooms, and built-in storage for South Florida's most demanding homes — from waterfront estates with private docks to historic residences with original architectural details that deserve to be honored.
Every closet is designed in your home, built in our Sunrise workshop, and installed by the same craftsmen who built it. No subcontractors. No "vendor partners." Just one family team from start to finish.

The signature project for primary suites — full walk-ins with islands, integrated lighting, jewelry drawers, hidden hampers, and floor-to-ceiling wardrobes. Designed around how you actually live, not a catalog template.

For homes where the closet flows into the bedroom — integrated wardrobes, custom dressing benches, vanity built-ins, and shoe walls that match your home's existing millwork. Designed to feel like original architecture, not an addition.

Rio Vista lives outdoors — boats, docks, sunset entertaining. We design wine walls, bar built-ins, and beverage centers with humidor-grade construction that holds up to coastal humidity. Cherry-finished cabinetry, wine fridges, glassware storage, and lighted display.

Wall-to-wall bookshelves, integrated desks, and concealed storage — designed to feel like an extension of your home's architecture, not an afterthought. Especially suited for Rio Vista's historic homes with original moldings and detail.
Florida humidity is brutal on cheap materials. The big-box closet companies use particleboard or thermofoil that swells, warps, and peels within 5–7 years in our climate — and Rio Vista's deep-water proximity makes it even harder on cheap construction. A waterfront home along the New River deserves better.

If your Rio Vista home already features custom millwork, designer hardware, or original 1920s architectural details, your closet should match — not look like an IKEA install.

Laura, our lead design consultant, comes to your Rio Vista Isles home. She measures, listens, and learns how you live — what's working in your current closet and what isn't. No pressure. No catalog flip-through.
We create a design tailored to your space, your wardrobe, and your home's existing finishes. You'll see a 3D rendering before a single board is cut.
Every piece is fabricated in-house by our team — no third-party manufacturing. We use the same materials and methods we use for our hospitality clients (Marriott, Hard Rock, Loews, Le Méridien).
The same craftsmen who built it install it. Most projects install in 1–3 days. We protect your floors, clean as we go, and don't leave until you're satisfied.
We're not the cheapest option in Rio Vista Isles, and we don't try to be. Here's what you get when you work with us instead of a national franchise:
"M&M built our entire primary closet and pantry. The craftsmanship is on a different level than what we'd seen from the national chains. Five years in and it still looks brand new." — Verified Google Review (★★★★★)
Most projects take 4–6 weeks total. About 2–3 weeks for design and approvals, 2–3 weeks for fabrication in our workshop, and 1–3 days for installation in your home.
Yes. We serve Rio Vista Isles and all surrounding Fort Lauderdale waterfront neighborhoods — Las Olas Isles, Harbor Beach, Colee Hammock, and Victoria Park. Most projects are within 25 minutes of our Sunrise workshop.
Absolutely. Some of our favorite projects involve matching original 1920s-era millwork, crown moldings, and built-in details. We custom-match stains, paint colors, and hardware so new construction looks like it has always been part of the home.
National chains use particleboard, ship from out-of-state factories, and rely on subcontractors. We build with solid plywood and hardwood, fabricate locally in Sunrise, and install with our own team. That's the difference between a 5-year closet and a 25-year closet.
